Membership and Profiles

As of January 2010 the membership structure and TrainerBase profile facility is changing.

The structure that has been in place up until this date was specifically:

• Basic Membership @ £100 [+VAT] (the ability to read Opportunities, get discounted and other services and have a pop up profile on the TrainerBase site)
• Enhanced Membership @ £190 [+VAT] (the ability to read Opportunities and a web enabled profile on the TrainerBase site)

The structure that will be in place from this date will be:

• Membership @ £100 [+VAT] (the ability to read Opportunities and get discounted services)

• Membership + Profile @ £100 + £90 [+VAT] (the ability to read Opportunities, get discounted and other services plus have a web enabled profile on the TrainerBase web site).

Existing Basic Memberships will continue to have a profile on the TrainerBase until renewal. At that point the Member should decide whether to continue with Membership only or whether they want the addition of a profile on the TrainerBase. Upgrade from Membership to Membership+ will be available and be charged on a pro rata basis calculated on the remainder of their Membership.

 

The above change is to create a Membership structure that appeals to both freelance trainers as well as employed trainers that do not wish to be visible on the TrainerBase. The change is also based on feedback from purchasers of training who indicate that the old basic popup profile is no longer seen as a suitable platform on which to make a recruitment decision.

 

 

About the new TrainerBase

As of next year the TrainerBase will have much of its current content removed. The idea is that:

• the TrainerBase will be the main site for helping businesses find trainers

• the Learning Practitioners site will be were Membership activities will take place

This will make the purchaser experience on the TrainerBase much less confusing and clarify the Member engagement is with The Learning Practitioners' Association.
