Apologies

Just a quick apology regarding access to the web site on Saturday; or should I say lack of access. Our anti virus scan went berserk and effectively locked everyone out of the operating system, database and web sites. And being a Saturday it took us a while to reset everything. On the positive; the reboot of the server seems to have made everything a bit quicker.

Opportunity applications

It is sad to report that we have failed to make some members of the Association aware that it is against our terms of membership to:

• distribute Opportunity notices to non members and non users, or

• post applications to Opportunities into the TOMS on behalf of another person.

To do either or both of the above is to undermine:

• the value proposition many fellow members hold as a significant benefit and

• the very viability of the service we provide.

I appreciate that most of the above instances have been a mistake or over eagerness and undertaken in ignorance of our terms. All users and members of the Association and the requisite web sites including the TrainerBase have signed up to the Terms and Conditions of use. Can I respectfully ask that you remind yourself of our terms.

Current total number of active web site users: 5,741 of which 4,056 are UK based. This is a reduction on previous week because I purged some 300+ users with undeliverable emails.

Currently signed up for the newsletter: 4,805

Currently signed up for offers and ads: 5,138

Current association members: 467. We find it bizarre that during an economic downturn members are not renewing their ability to gain access to new contracts. We as a trade association provide a highly effective marketing channel that leads some to great rewards and we offer other services worth 3 times the cost of membership. I suppose what it does mean is that those that remain as members have a greater share of the ongoing contracts sourced via the Association. Nought so strange as folk
